Who Should be Winner in Tie Scenario

Tue Feb 12, 2008 at 09:42:32 AM PDT

This is a short diary – just to gauge who readers believe should become our nominee if the race between our two Democratic candidates is a virtual tie (as you can see there’s many possibilities; I probably missed some scenarios).

There’s been a lot of talk on the blogs about who should win if it’s a virtual tie scenario, and it would be interesting to know how people feel about this.

I wanted to include another poll in this diary -- just for fun (but apparently can't include more than one poll).  Nevertheless, you may want to look at this 2000 "poll" first before you answer the one for 2008:

Who really won the Presidential election of 2000:

_ Al Gore because he won the popular vote.

_ Al Gore because he won the popular vote and the electoral college, but all the votes in Florida were not counted.

_ Al Gore because he won the electoral college, but all the votes in Florida were not counted (who cares about the popular vote).

_ George W. Bush because he won the electoral college (who cares about who "really" won Florida; the Republican Party apparatus -- i.e. Florida Republican Party and U.S. Supreme Court -- said that Bush won Florida and that’s it).

Now to the 2008 poll -- (sorry, btw, that the poll here looks like the butterfly ballot, but there were a lot of possible options to squeeze in) ....
