Obama/Edwards '08 (Let's believe again!)
Sun Jul 27, 2008 at 01:02:19 PM PDT
We're probably about a week away from Sen. Obama announcing his VP, and with that I'm sure it has already been decided and is awaiting announcement. I'm truly hoping its John Edwards, the labor partisan and the poverty-fighting hero.
I make my case below.
The John Boehner Hypocrisy (FISA Edition)
Thu Jun 19, 2008 at 03:32:30 PM PDT
Minority Leader John Boehner, the guy we all love around here. He supported pollution of the Earth, stood with the GOP House Caucus when Foley did bad, and supported sweatshop labor in his own country. What a lovable guy.
And today he supports immunity for illegal wiretapping.
But John Boehner didn't when he got wiretapped, and he believed in a right to sue. And did file lawsuit.
Lets flashback 10 years to 1998.
An Edwards supporter carries onward

I've seen the influx of Edwards diaries today, but I don't apologize to anyone for adding one more. Perhaps it won't make it to the rec list, perhaps it won't break 20 comments. Thats okay, because in my mind its worth sharing.
This is my first time back to the site in awhile. In the heat of Iowa, I left because I was tired of the bickering on this site.
The Peru FTA Disappointment
Tue Dec 04, 2007 at 04:10:48 PM PDT
There have been a few diaries on this topic today. But I wanted to express my frustration with the Democratic Congress. I'm also ashamed of Clinton and Obama for not showing up; its one thing to miss a post office vote, but to miss something so crucial is disrespectful to your state.
Kossacks: WE must stop Peru FTA, We CAN still win
Fri Nov 09, 2007 at 02:14:03 PM PDT
How shameful is it that our House of Representatives approved this vote so easily? 285-132. This is a blow to labor activists everywhere.
Why so many Democrats would back Peru FTA (litearlly called the NAFTA-expansion) is shameful. Are you confused? I am too. But we still have one more chance: the filibuster!
Or, a hold!
Kos, you are wrong about John Edwards

Markos, I respect you so much but today I must disagree with you about John Edwards and public financing. I understand your point that if they aren't giving to Edwards the funds will be diverted to the DNC.
You know more than anyone this will still occur during a Clinton, Obama, Dodd administration too. No matter who we nominate, there will be 527s and $28,500 donations to the DNC.
